Website files
Themes, plugins, uploads, application files and compatible account data.
Move your website, databases and compatible email to SeekaHost with careful preparation, private testing and a coordinated DNS cutover.
Every hosting setup is different. Before work begins, an engineer reviews the current provider, available access, website technology, data size, email requirements and the best time for cutover.
Compatibility and included migration scope depend on the selected SeekaHost plan and the access available from your current provider.
The new hosting is prepared alongside your current service. DNS is changed only after the copied website has been reviewed.
We review access, website technology, storage, databases, email, DNS and any special server requirements.
Files, databases and compatible services are copied to a private destination environment.
Important pages, forms, database connections, SSL and common services are checked before launch.
DNS is updated at the agreed time, followed by final checks while traffic begins reaching SeekaHost.
A successful hosting move depends on the connected services around the website, not only the public pages.
Themes, plugins, uploads, application files and compatible account data.
MySQL and compatible application databases, users and connection settings.
Mailboxes and messages where suitable IMAP or account access is available.
A, AAAA, CNAME, MX and TXT records reviewed before nameservers are changed.
HTTPS is configured on compatible hosted domains before or during cutover.
Compatible cron jobs, redirects and application configuration are reviewed.
Full account backups can make cPanel-to-cPanel transfers especially efficient. Other control panels and managed platforms can also be moved, with unsupported settings recreated manually where practical.
Choose a destination that matches the website’s current resources and gives it room to grow after migration.
Good migrations are built on preparation. These checks reduce the most common causes of disruption when hosting providers change.
Switched to SeekaHost from SiteGround over a year ago and it was the best decision I ever made. Faster sites, real people on support, and I never think about the server anymore.
“Managing our website is simple and stress-free. The uptime has been excellent, and help is always available when needed.”
“Rock-solid hosting and genuinely responsive support. Our firm's site has been fast and reliable since day one — exactly what a busy practice needs.”
Every provider and website is different. These answers cover the most common migration questions.
Ask an engineer →Migration is available at no additional charge with eligible SeekaHost hosting plans. Compatibility, account limits and the scope of work are reviewed before migration begins.
We can usually migrate compatible website files, databases, WordPress installations, email accounts, DNS records, SSL configuration and common scheduled tasks.
The copied website is prepared and tested before DNS changes. This helps minimise disruption, but DNS propagation, dynamic data and limitations at the previous provider mean uninterrupted service cannot be guaranteed in every case.
Yes. WordPress and WooCommerce migrations can include files, databases, media, plugins, themes and compatible configuration. Ecommerce sites may need a brief maintenance window for the final order and customer-data sync.
Compatible mailboxes and messages can usually be migrated when the current provider supports IMAP or suitable account-level access.
Yes. Full cPanel account backups often provide the most complete migration path for websites, databases, email, DNS records and account settings.
Plesk, DirectAdmin, managed WordPress platforms and custom environments can often be migrated, although some settings may need to be recreated manually.
Smaller websites may be migrated within one working day after access is received. Large websites, ecommerce stores, email archives and complex servers can take longer.
We may need control-panel access, SFTP or FTP credentials, SSH access, database details, WordPress administrator access, email access and permission to review DNS settings.
Yes. VPS and dedicated-server migrations are assessed individually based on the operating system, software stack, services, storage and security configuration.
Share your current hosting details and an engineer will review the migration path, destination plan and next steps.
